John R. Pidgeon

John Pidgeon has more than 40 years of municipal law experience. He currently serves as the Bernardsville Borough Attorney and the Long Hill Township Attorney, as well as attorney for Library of the Chathams, and the Morris County Soil Conservation District. Mr. Pidgeon has extensive experience advising municipalities, drafting ordinances and resolutions, litigating zoning issues and contract disputes in the Superior Court, handling tax appeals before various County Boards of Taxation and the New Jersey Tax Court, and undertaking other actions on behalf of local government entities.

Mr. Pidgeon was graduated from Seton Hall Prep, the University of New Hampshire, and the Seton Hall University School of Law. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar.

Like all the members of the firm Mr. Pidgeon is active in the community. He has served as a member of the West Windsor Plainsboro Board of Education and Chair of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board of Adjustment. He currently serves as Secretary and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Plainsboro Township Nonprofit Housing Corporation.

Mr. Pidgeon has forty-four years of municipal experience and is presently the municipal attorney for Bernardsville Borough in Somerset County and Long Hill Township in Morris County, as well as attorney for the Morris County Soil Conservation District and the Library of the Chathams.

Mr. Pidgeon has extensive experience advising municipalities, drafting ordinances, defending tax appeals, and undertaking other actions on behalf of local government entities. Mr. Pidgeon has also handled prerogative writ actions in the Superior Court and has appeared before various County Boards of Taxation and the New Jersey Tax Court.

Mr. Pidgeon previously served as the Board of Adjustment attorney for the City of Rahway in Union County, as the attorney for the Hightstown Borough Zoning Board of Adjustment for eleven years and as the Chairman of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board of Adjustment.

He has appeared on behalf of applicants before Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment throughout Mercer, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset Counties.
