The firm’s municipal law department, which includes zoning and planning, is headed by John Pidgeon who has a Diplomate in Municipal Law from Rutgers University and the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys. Mr. Pidgeon, who has more than 40 years of municipal law experience, is presently the municipal attorney for Bernardsville Borough in Somerset County and Long Hill Township in Morris County, attorney for the Morris County Soil Conservation District. Mr. Pidgeon has handled prerogative writ actions in the Superior Court and has appeared before various County Boards of Taxation and the New Jersey Tax Court.

John Pidgeon also served as the attorney for the Hightstown Borough Zoning Board of Adjustment for eleven years and as Chairman of the Plainsboro Township Zoning Board of Adjustment. He has appeared on behalf of applicants before Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Adjustment throughout Mercer, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset Counties. He also has represented municipalities, boards and applicants in land use litigation in the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Mary Ann Pidgeon also has extensive municipal experience and a Diplomate in New Jersey Municipal Law. Mrs. Pidgeon, who began her career in 1975 as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Pittsburgh, has served our municipal clients since the firm’s founding in 1986.
