Today is World Diabetes Day!

Today is World Diabetes Day—a day to stand with the community of people and organizations around the world who are affected by and concerned about the rising incidence of all types of diabetes and who are committed to doing something about it. As the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research, JDRF welcomes this opportunity to raise awareness and advocacy around the urgent need to end all diabetes.

World
This symbol of World Diabetes Day will appear across the diabetes online community today as a show of strength.
The theme of 2014 World Diabetes Day, “Healthy Living and Diabetes,” resonates strongly with the JDRF family. We’re committed to people with T1D staying healthier and living longer until a cure is found. The more we all educate others about what day-to-day life with diabetes really looks like, the more people we will rally to the fight against it.

Throughout the month, you’ve shared your stories in video on social media about what life without T1D would mean to you. You can find inspiration for your own video here and find others by following the hashtags #TypeNone and #noT1D.

It’s not too late. If you haven’t shared a video, use the line, “This is how I turn type one diabetes into type none!”, and start shooting. Then don’t forget to post your video with this message: @JDRF This is how I turn type one diabetes into #TypeNone #noT1D.
